Purpose:
The purpose of the CIC shall be to serve as the City's agency for industrial, commercial, distribution and research development activities within the City's municipal boundaries.

Membership & Terms
Membership of the CIC consists of the Mayor, the President of Council or Economic Development Committee Chair, the Economic Development Manager/Director, the Building Commissioner, the Finance Director, and two Resident/Business Representatives appointed by the Mayor and Council. The term for members of the CIC for a period of three (3) years, provided, however, that those Board Members holding elected or appointed office may only serve as Board Members during their continuation in such elected or appointed office. Upon the occurrence of any vacancy in a Board seat designated for a Council member, Council shall appoint another member to fill such vacancy. An appointee may be appointed for multiple terms.
