Administrative Assistant III
The City of Beachwood is accepting applications/resumes for a Full-Time Administrative Assistant III. This position reports directly to the Chief of Police. The Administrative Assistant III is responsible for preparing letters, reporting and submitting purchase requisitions; drafting written department directives; coordinating and submitting payroll; and general office duties. A high school diploma, or GED, and at least two years of experience as an administrative assistant for an executive are required. Associate or Bachelor’s Degree are highly desirable. Open Competitive Entrance Exam for Entry Level Police Patrol Officers
The Beachwood Civil Service Commission will conduct an examination for the entry-level position of Police Patrol Officer.  Starting salary is per the current contract at the time of appointment: Initial hire $78,085.00, One Year Anniversary $80,923.00 (plus possible qualification of 5% specialist pay upon completion of probation), Two Year Anniversary $92,279.00.  Please note: Posted salaries are subject to change based on 2023 labor negotiations.

Passing Physical Agility Certificate from designated testing agency (Cuyahoga Community College) must be submitted prior to the Certification of the Civil Service List. Please call Tri-C to register if you need to take the test.

Written examination will take place Tuesday, February 7, 2023, promptly at 6:00 P.M. at Beachwood Community Center (Next to City Hall), 25225 Fairmount Boulevard, Beachwood, Ohio 44122.  Registration begins at 5:00 P.M.
