Department Overview

The mission of Beachwood Community Services is to improve the quality of life of all residents by providing a wide variety of cultural and leisure activities, special events, facilities and services encouraging health, fitness, relaxation, enjoyment, cultural enrichment, and learning as well as providing opportunities for community involvement. The Community Services Department is composed of both the Human Services and Recreation Departments.

CLE Market - Halloween Family Night

October 12th from 4-8 PM, City Hall Parking Lot
The CLE Market finale will be our largest yet with a special Halloween family night theme! Shopping and candy from local vendors plus a food truck from 4-8 PM. Games, activities and family-friendly movie shorts from 5-7 PM. Fun for all ages. Costumes are welcome! More info here.

Scarecrow Stroll

October 18th from 4:30-6:30 PM, City Park East
Build your own scarecrow and leave it on display in City Park East this fall! Families, couples, groups and even companies are invited to assemble their own unique scarecrow on October 18th. Only $5 per scarecrow for residents and $7 for non-residents and businesses. Includes the scarecrow frame and a naming plaque. Bring your own materials. Details here.

Youth Basketball Leagues

Registration available for boys and girls leagues!
Beachwood youth basketball offers opportunities for boys and girls in grades 3-6. Practices begin in December. The boys league will be divided into grades 3-4 and 5-6 with a schedule that is TBD. The girls will participate in the Eastside Girls Youth League playing games in Beachwood and surrounding communities on Thursdays or Sundays. More info here.
