We flush all city hydrants twice a year, once in the spring and again in the fall. We make every effort to make sure residents are informed of the dates of flushing. The dates will be posted on our website, in the Sun Press, in the Beachwood Buzz, on Twitter and Facebook and “Hydrant Flushing This Week” signs will be posted throughout the city.

We recommend visiting the car seat fitting station at the UH Main Campus in the Rainbow Parking Garage. Located at 2021 Adelbert Road, Cleveland. The hours are Monday-Friday from 10 AM-4 PM by appointment only. Call 216-983-1110 to schedule an appointment.

All reports can be requested by filling out a public records request form. EMS reports may only be obtained by the patient or with a signed HIPAA release form by the patient or their legal guardian/representative. Unfortunately, Cuyahoga County has discontinued this program and we are no longer able to accept mercury items at the Fire Department. If you have questions on disposal of these items, you may call the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District at 216-443-3749.

The City of Beachwood Police Department currently has a collection box for unused medications. You may drop them off at the Police Department during regular business hours, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm.Fire & Rescue
