Complaints -How do I report or file a complaint against a Police Employee?: You can either come into the police station at 2700 Richmond Road, Beachwood, OH 44122 or call the department at 216-464-1234 and ask to speak to a police supervisor.
All complaints are investigated. You do NOT have to leave your name to file a complaint.

1. Bicycle -Do I need a bicycle license? How do I get it?: Yes, the City requires a one-time license and registration for all bicycles. Bring serial number, make and model information, frame or wheel size, color, and number of speeds to the Police Department to receive your complimentary license.

2. Bicycle -Does Beachwood have a bicycle helmet law?: Yes, the City requires any person under the age of 16 to wear a protective helmet with fastened chin strap. This applies to both the operator and the passenger.

3. Car Seats -Who do I contact about car seat installations?: We have now partnered with Ahuja Hospital for installation of child safety seats. They are done by appointment only by calling 216-844-2277 ext. 6.

5. Court -Where should I go for Mayors Court?: Beachwood Police Department, 2700 Richmond Road, Beachwood, OH 44122. Located on Richmond Rd. just north of Fairmount Blvd., across the street from the Beachwood Fire Station.

6. Emergencies -What number do I call for an emergency?: Always dial 911 in an emergency or call 216-464-1234 to report any emergencies.

7. Security Survey -Does Beachwood offer Security Survey inspections?: Yes, see: Security Survey Information

8. Fireworks -Are fireworks permitted in Beachwood?: Fireworks not authorized by the City are prohibited.

9. Tickets -Where can I pay my tickets?: Tickets can be paid at the police department 24 hours a day, by mail, or online using the link below. Click here to pay your ticket online.

10. Noise Disturbances -My neighbor's dog barks all the time. What can I do?: Ordinance 618.07 states "No person shall keep or harbor with the City any dog which by barking, biting, howling, or in any way or manner injures or disturbs quiet of any other person, or which destroys or damages any other person's lawn, tree, shrub, plant, building or other property." Should you have a neighbor that has a dog that is in violation of any of the above, contact the Beachwood Police Department at 216-464-1234.

11. Noise Disturbances -What time can an outside party go until at night?: Midnight, as long as there are no complaints.

12. Reports -How do I obtain a copy of a police report?: The Police Department offers the ability to download most Incident and crash reports and use the search function to find reports. If you cannot find the report or have other questions, please contact the Police Records Section at 216-464-2343, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM or send an e-mail to policerecords@beachwoodohio.com

13. Parking -Is overnight parking allowed on City streets?: Parking is not allowed on Beachwood streets between 3:00 am and 6:00 am. or during Snow Bans. If you have an overnight visitor or other special circumstance contact the Police Department to request an exception.

14. Reports -Can I report a crime to the Beachwood Police Department online?: No, the Beachwood Police Department does not take police reports via the internet, email, or by fax. Please contact the Police Dispatch Center at 216-464-1234 for assistance.
