For 17 years, Dennis Weyn has been sharing his passion for soccer with Beachwood families through Pee Wee Soccer, Beginner Footskills, group camps, and more. A native of the Netherlands, Dennis grew up immersed in the sport before moving to the United States in 1986 to coach at Virginia Commonwealth University. He later became Director of Coaching for what is now the Cleveland Football Academy and has led successful high school programs, including two state titles at Hathaway Brown and multiple winning seasons at Beaumont School.
Through his Weyn Soccer Group, Dennis has helped young athletes across Northeast Ohio develop skills and confidence both on and off the field. Despite his competitive background, what he values most about Beachwood is the relaxed environment of running skill development programs. “There’s no pressure to win,” he says. “It’s simply about having fun and sharing my passion for soccer.”
Outside of soccer, Dennis has been happily married for 40 years and is the proud father of two adult daughters. When he’s not on the field, you’ll find him watching professional soccer, traveling, collecting vinyl records, and enjoying time with family and friends.
