New Faces at City Hall

The election in Nov. 2017 brought about several changes and new faces to Beachwood City Council. June Taylor was appointed by Council to fill the vacant seat created by the election of Council President Martin S. Horwitz to Mayor. Eric Synenberg was elected to his first term on Council.
If you see them around town, be sure to extend a warm welcome.

Non-Resident individuals employed within the City of Beachwood are eligible for a seasonal membership for $100. The daily rate is $10.
-Nonresident individuals employed within the City of Beachwood are not eligible for family memberships but are entitled to bring guests at the nonresident guest rate during restricted hours (Monday through Friday only; no weekends or holiday admissions).
-Proof of employment is necessary; must present current paycheck stub or letter from employer on company letterhead.

New flavors coming to town!

Hello Bistro has opened at the Beachwood Lifestyle Center (formerly LaPlace). Hello Bistro, a subsidiary of Eat'n Park restaurants out of Pittsburgh, is venturing out of PA for the first time to locate here in Beachwood. They offer quick, casual BYO salads, as well as other signature items and of course, their famous smiley face cookies!

City Barbeque is coming to the former Ruby Tuesday's location on Chagrin Boulevard. City Barbeque is a national award-winning barbeque joint built on a foundation of “low and slow” smoked meats, a wide variety of side dishes, delectable desserts, and a healthy dose of backyard hospitality.  Beachwood will be the first Cleveland-area location and plans to open later this year.

Construction alert

Construction update - Richmond Rd

Improvements to Richmond Road northbound are scheduled to begin in early June 2018.  Work will be done between Chagrin Boulevard and Shaker Boulevard west bound.
Traffic will be maintained as one lane in each direction at all times.  Motorists should expect delays and are urged to exercise caution in the work zones.  The project is expected to be completed within 60 days.

Energy Efficiency

The City is hosting an energy-efficiency presentation for commercial property owners on August 3, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at the Beachwood Community Center. 
Our friends at the Greater Cleveland Partnership/COSE, Greenworks Lending, Better Together Solar, and REV Cleveland will be joining us to talk about free energy audits, C-PACE financing options, solar installation, and electric car sharing.
