THURSDAY, February 6

10:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Preregister now for the Job Fair of Cleveland, which is being held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton – Cleveland Beachwood (3775 Park East Dr.). Meet face-to-face with area employers and get a new job for the new year! Free with registration

5:00 – 8:00 PM: It’s a styling party at Evereve Beachwood Place (26300 Cedar Rd.). Enjoy sips, snacks and 15% everything in the store! 

7:00 PM: Join Diversity Matters in Beachwood for a special Black History Month event with Randell McShepard as he chronicles his experience of raising a Black family in Beachwood and shares some lessons learned, too. Includes a performance by BHS Jazz combo Das Taste. Beachwood High School Bistro. RSVP online

7:00 – 9:00 PM:  In partnership with the Cleveland Jewish Film Festival and the Mandel Jewish Community Center, Chagrin Documentary Film Festival’s Audience Choice Award winner “You Only Die Twice” follows documentarian Yair Lev as he follows the path to find the man who stole his grandfather’s identity during World War II. Enjoy this film at the Mandel Jewish Community Center’s Stonehill Auditorium (26001 S. Woodland Rd.). Tickets are $10 online or at the door. 

FRIDAY, February 7

SATURDAY, February 8
9:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Buy a sofa, make life a little easier for someone impacted by a cancer diagnosis: It’s (Beachwood-based) The Gathering Place Warehouse Home Furnishings sale, aka a win-win. 20-percent off many items! 10:00 AM: Are you ready to let go and move forward? Be Well Plus at the Cleveland Clinic Beachwood Family Health & Surgery Center (26900 Cedar Rd.) can help.  Be Well Plus is a monthly group appointment that focuses on exploring and understanding barriers to weight loss and/or weight maintenance. This shared medical appointment (SMA) will encourage interactive discussions on body image, emotional triggers for eating, wellness habits, lifestyle behavior changes and being your best self. 7:30 – 11:30 PM: Hustle on down to La Danse Cleveland (23366 Commerce Park) for lessons and dancing at the Cleveland Akron Swing & Hustle (C.A.S.H.) Dance. After the lesson, practice to DJ music. SUNDAY, February 9
11:00 AM – Noon: Register your kid(s) for today’s Perfectly Polite Dining Etiquette Class at the Beachwood Community Center. Participants ages 6 – 15 will learn how to set a table to start to finish, the American and Continental style of dining, posture, proper Introductions, how to sit still, dining conversations, thank-you notes and more. Online registration is available: $25 per student

1:00 – 3:00 PM: Youth ages 10 and older will enjoy learning financial responsibility at the Beachwood Community Center with The Money Game! Participants will learn about Paychecks, Federal, State and Local Taxes, Social Security, Medicare, everyday expenses and bills, credit cards, financial costs of life events, tracking your money, and earned and passive income. Online registration is available: $40 per student

2:00 – 4:30 PM: Celebrate the artwork of students representing 22 regional high schools at the
Ileen Kelner Juried High School Art Show, presented by the Beachwood Arts Council and held at the Beachwood Community Center Art Gallery (25325 Fairmount Blvd.). Awards ceremony is at 3:00 PM and refreshments will follow. Free & open to the public.

LOOKING AHEAD
Friday, February 14: Check-in to the Aloft Cleveland Beachwood Hotel (1010 Eaton Blvd.) tonight with their "Stay in Love" package and receive: 1:00 PM late check-out, breakfast for two, two glasses of champagne, and chocolate covered strawberries. DJ Nick from Rock the House will spin on Friday between 7:00 – 9:00 PM in the W XYZ Lounge. Book your stay online
