THURSDAY, January 23
6:00 PM – 11:00 PM: Celebrate the sixth anniversary of Tres Potrillos Mexican Restaurant and Tequila Bar (25765 Chagrin Blvd) tonight, with live music and a raffle of ten $50 gift cards! 

FRIDAY, January 24
1:00 – 2:00 PM: It’s The Great American Songbook with Debbie Darling! This program will feature four of the most prolific writers of the Songbook: Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Hoagy Carmichael and Harold Arlen. Ms. Darling will talk about each composer and then sing some of their most famous songs. Enroll online for this free program at the Beachwood Branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library (25501 Shaker Blvd).  Registration required. Sponsored by the Friends of the Beachwood Library. 

Before 5:00 PM: The Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage Stop the Hate Essay Contest deadline has been extended: 11th and 12th grade students may submit Stop the Hate essays through Friday, January 24, 2020 at 5:00 PM

5:00 – 8:00 PM: Dunk on your competition at tonight’s NBA2k20 Tournament, taking place at the Microsoft Store at Beachwood Place (downstairs at 26300 Cedar Rd.). Free entry. Gift cards will be presented to the top three winners. Register online! 

SUNDAY, January 26
1:00 – 2:30 PM: Enjoy artwork by Alan Mintz and Dennis Long at the Artists’ Reception at their Beachwood Community Center Art Gallery show "Integrity Shared." Light refreshments will be available and the event is free and open to the public (25325 Fairmount Blvd.).

2:00 – 3:00 PM: The Beachwood Arts Council presents Pianist Marshall Griffith, flutist Virginia Crabtree, and violinist Kallen Bierly performing a variety of classical music by famous composers.  Made possible by grants from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture and Ohio Arts Council. This “Beethoven, Bernstein, and More Beautiful Music” concert takes place at the Beachwood Community Center (25325 Fairmount Blvd.) and is free & open to the public

2:00 – 3:00 PM: Show your kids the importance of volunteering with this feel-good flower planting event with the residents at Wiggins Place (27070 Cedar Rd). This fun inter-generational project will begin with some fun ice-breaker questions, a craft decorating flower pots and then planting flowers or herbs to leave with the residents to brighten their day. At the end of the time, cookies and refreshments will be served. This event is a partnership with Caring Cubs, which provides monthly volunteer opportunities for young kids. Register online now

WEDNESDAY, January 29
7:00 PM: Enjoy a special performance with The Music Settlement at the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage (2929 Richmond Rd), which will feature rarely heard works of Leonard Bernstein. Tickets ($10/$5) are available online
