7:00 PM: Beachwood Schools Cabaret at the Beachwood High School Auditorium. Enjoy performances  by BMS and BHS choirs, among others! Dessert reception to follow. Visit the Eventbrite page for ticket info

7:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Meet author Anja Sassenberg-DeGeorgia at the Beachwood Library (25501 Shaker Blvd ) at her book launch for "On the Edge of Something Bigger." She will share the positive, step-by-step guide to embrace not only the freedom, travel, and fun inherent with retirement, but also to experience depth and fulfillment. Books will be available for purchase and signing and coffee and desserts will be served. Register online for this free event

FRIDAY, December 6
MATILDA THE MUSICAL, presented by Beachwood Community Theater, runs all weekend! Shows are tonight at 7:30, Saturday at 4:00 PM, and Sunday at 2:00 PM. Performances take place at the Beachwood Middle School and tickets are cash/check only. Support our local talent and go see this show – it’s terrific

SATURDAY, December 7
1:00 – 4:00 PM: Visit Beachwood Place and sing along to “Elf” in the Center Court. (Also, spend $200 at Beachwood Place stores and receive a $20 gift card!) RSVP online

SUNDAY, December 8
Noon – 6:00 PM: It’s selfies-with-Santa time at Beachwood Place, Saks Fifth Avenue wing. Take pics with your camera or phone – three photos, $10. Santa takes a break from 2:30 – 3:00 so plan accordingly.  Additional days and times are available here

2:00 – 3:00 PM: Inlet Dance Theatre’s Apprentice and Trainee Program members are in performance at the Beachwood High School Auditorium. This is dance like you’ve never seen it before – truly spectacular. Presented by the Beachwood Arts Council, this performance is free & open to the public

MONDAY, December 9
The Beachwood branch of Middlefield Bank (25201 Chagrin Blvd., Ste. 120) is sponsoring a Coats for Kids coat drive this December.  Donations of new or gently worn coats will help ensure that needy kids in our area have warm coats this winter.  We know there are many in need. Stop by with a coat now through January 10!
