Beachwood Boredom-Busters: Halloween Edition (10/31/2019)

If you are driving to another neighborhood to trick-or-treat, please park your car and walk with your children. Beachwood Police will be out to help maintain the safety of Beachwood’s little ghosts and goblins. Trick-or-treat hours are from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and remember, if the porch light is off, please don’t knock on that door.

FRIDAY, November 1

Mucha inspired artworkRegister by November 1 for a Master-Inspired Art Workshop with the Beachwood Arts Council, to be held Saturday, November 9 at 9:30 AM. Art historian Felicia Zavarella Stadelman will present an insightful talk about Art Nouveau painter and illustrator Alphonse Mucha.  Afterwards, Felicia will teach participants how to use colored pencils to create a Mucha-inspired picture. 7:00 – 10:00 PM: It’s Senior Night at tonight’s Bison varsity football game. Come root for our team as they take on Hawken at Beachwood’s home field at Beachwood High School (25100 Fairmount Boulevard). Tickets are available online

SATURDAY, November 2

6:00 – 9:00 PM: The Gospel Music Historical Society hosts its Awards Gala tonight at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cleveland East Beachwood (3663 Park East Drive). Special guests include The Douglass Singers of Chicago, IL and Brandon Edwards of Cleveland! Mistress of Ceremony Danita Harris will lead what is sure to be a marvelous black-tie event. Tickets are available online


SUNDAY, November 3

The 20th Annual Mandel JCC Cleveland Jewish Book Festival kicks off today and runs through November 18! Learn more and purchase tickets at their website

10:00 AM: Nordstrom Beachwood Place (26200 Cedar Road) hosts a morning of Fabulous Fall Florals with Alice’s Table. Celebrate the season of thanks and giving with fresh, fall flowers at Nordstrom in Beachwood Place! Participants will enjoy a morning of friends, fresh flowers, and complimentary refreshments hours before the store opens to the public. 2:00 – 3:00 PM: Enjoy The Big 5 Show Band concert and enjoy some classic rock at the Beachwood Community Center (25325 Fairmount Blvd.). Presented by the Beachwood Arts Council, this concert is free & open to the public.

Tickets are $9 general/$8 youth & seniors. Performances take place at the state-of-the-art and wheelchair-accessible Beachwood Middle School auditorium (2860 Richmond Rd.).
