THURSDAY, October 24

2:00 – 3:00 PM: Visit the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage (2929 Richmond Road) and enjoy a drop-in tour of The Temple-Tifereth Israel Gallery at no extra charge. Simply let the front desk know you would like to be part of the tour – it’s included in your Museum admission.

7:00 PM: In partnership with the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland, the Maltz Museum presents “Behind the Lens with Oscar Award-Winning Filmmaker Howard Rosenman.” Rosenman will recount moments from growing up a descendant of Hasidic dynasties in New York, to his relationship with Bernstein, to his life behind the lens in Hollywood. This event will be held at the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland (6705 Detroit Ave, Cleveland, OH 44102). Admission is $15/general, $10/Maltz Museum members

10:00 AM – 4:00 PM: The National Council of Jewish Women Cleveland’s Designer Dress Days kicks off today! Shop to your heart’s content at the Mandel JCC (26001 S. Woodland Rd.). Friday’s Preview shopping day requires a $20 admission fee but the remaining three days (Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday) are free to enter. Learn more on their Facebook page

SATURDAY, October 26

5:00 – 7:00 PM: It’s the Artists’ Reception for the current Beachwood Arts Council Ceramic Beauty art show. Visit the Beachwood Community Center (25325 Fairmount Blvd.) and enjoy light refreshments while speaking with the artists who have work in the show! Free & open to the public.

5:30 PM: Enjoy a Trunk or Treat Halloween Party at 2 Tone Boxing Club (23307B Commerce Parkway). Grab your costumes and park your cars at 2 Tone while the kids trick or treat around the lot! Register online for this fun family event! 

6:00 – 9:30 PM: The Black Women’s Political Action Committee is hosting its annual fundraiser at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Cleveland East Beachwood (3663 Park East Drive). Tickets are available via Eventbrite

SUNDAY, October 27

Noon – 3:00 PM: Enjoy a concert with Erin Nicole Neal & The Chill Factors at Giant Eagle Beachwood (24601 Chagrin Blvd.)! They’ll be performing blues, R&B/Soul, and Blues-Rock. Put some soul in your shopping this afternoon. 

1:00 – 3:00 PM: The Beachwood Arts Council invites you to enjoy a tour of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland – Roe Green Gallery exhibit of “Growth and Change” by Israeli artists Sigalit Landau and Yotam From, best known for creating sculptures encrusted with salt from the Dead Sea.  Photos will also be on display. Cost is $5 for BAC members and $10 for non-members. To register, please call 216-595-3400 by Friday, October 18: leave your name and phone number and a volunteer will return your call.

6:30 -7:45 PM: Dress up your yoga practice by attending “Halloween Flow & Costume Contest” at Cleveland Yoga in Beachwood (3355 Richmond Rd.). Costumes encouraged but not required. Advanced registration is encouraged as the class will be full.

Saturday, November 23: Beachwood Community Theater presents “Matilda The Musical,” starting today and running Fridays – Sundays through December 15 (no shows Thanksgiving weekend). Tickets are $9 general/$8 youth & seniors. Performances take place at the state-of-the-art Beachwood Middle School auditorium (2860 Richmond Rd.). Come support these “revolting children” of Beachwood and beyond!
