THURSDAY, October 17

6:30 PM: Pre-register for the sure-to-be-outstanding program “Healing with Humor for Those Coping with Cancer” at The Gathering Place (23300 Commerce Park) – call 216-595-9546 to enroll. A variety of techniques to use humor for healing will be discussed.

7:30 PM: Bogey’s Comedy Club at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Cleveland Beachwood (3775 Park East Drive) hosts Mike Head and featured comic Marc Jaffe, an Emmy-award winning writer for “Seinfeld.” Save money when you buy your tickets online

1:00 – 4:00 PM: It’s the Beachwood Place Halloween Spooktacular! Enjoy Instagram-friendly “pic-or-treat” spots, professional pumpkin carving, customizable trick-or-treat bags, giveaways, exciting activities, and more. 

SUNDAY, October 20

1:30 – 3:00 PM: Visit the Maltz Museum (2929 Richmond Rd.) for Family Fun: The Magic of Music. Enjoy a magic show, create music-themed crafts, and make the tasty snacks disappear! Limited seating means advance registration is recommended

JHUB event6:00 – 8:00 PM: Join jHUB at Shuhei (23360 Chagrin Blvd.) for “Sushi Rolls & Torah Scrolls,” a celebration and education session about Simchat Torah, “one of the most joyful celebrations in the Jewish Calendar.” Tickets are $10 and must be purchased in advance. 7:00 – 8:30 PM: Award-winning author Margaret McMullan visits the Beachwood Branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library (25501 Shaker Blvd.) to discuss her new memoir, Where the Angels Lived, which details her journey to discover her Jewish Hungarian ancestry. Books will be available for purchase and signing courtesy of Mac's Backs-Books on Coventry. Please register online for this event.
