It’s Block Party season! Contact my office for help with organizing and arranging for supplies and special guests for your 2019 Block Party.

All weekend:
Beachwood Schools are out of session until mid-August. Be careful driving around our neighborhoods as we’ll be seeing more kids outside during the day.

The City of Beachwood has redesigned its website – check out the results of our hard work at and please email me if you find any glitches.

June 1: 
The Beachwood Family Aquatic Center (BFAC) begins its full season today – make a splash all summer long. (Also, like their page on Facebook!)

June 2: 
Race for the Place, a 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk fundraiser to benefit The Gathering Place, is presented this morning at Beachwood Place by University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center on National Cancer Survivors Day.

A hearty Beachwood welcome to the Cleveland Ashtanga Collective, launching today at Shaker Dance Academy, 23440 Commerce Park, Beachwood, Ohio 44122. Ashtanga Yoga, a transformative practice that can be modified to fit any person regardless of ability, synchronizes a person’s breath with a series of postures to strengthen the body and calm the mind. Tuesday, June 4:
Pop-Up Park Kick-off Party! Enjoy our newest Beachwood park, buy some pizza from the Sauced Pizza Truck (11:00 AM – 2:00 PM), and enjoy the ambiance of our beautiful al fresco facility! The park is located at the former Beachwood fire station on Fire Station Drive and Chagrin Blvd., across from the Huntington Bank at the Pavilion Mall.

The Maltz Museum’s Everyday Heroes Activity Center “offers children a way to explore the values of being everyday heroes through crafts, books, movement, and more.”  Included with general admission to the museum. 

Thursday, June 6:
EATS AND MEETS, a food-truck gathering from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the parking lot behind The Orlean Company at 23875 Commerce Park. Presented by the Beachwood Chamber of Commerce and The Orlean Company. This week’s 6/6 selections come to us from The Little Piggy and Donut Lab Cleveland.

Meet author Michael Dobbs, June 6 from 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM, at the Beachwood Branch of the Cuyahoga County Library. Dobbs is the author of the new book The Unwanted: America, Auschwitz, and a Village Caught In Between, which tells the powerful story of a group of German Jews desperately seeking American visas to escape Nazi Germany.
