Catch “The Little Mermaid” in her final weekend onstage at the Beachwood Middle School Auditorium. Friday at 7:30 PM; Saturday at 4:00 PM; Sunday at 2:00 PM. Tickets are cash only.

Art Exhibit at the Beachwood Community Center: LOOSE & FREE. Works by Alan G. Ross, James Freedman, and Dawn Gettig. Stop by Friday 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM; Saturday 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM; Sunday 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Free & open to the public through May 31.


Learn how to download books, magazines, and other media to your smart device at the Beachwood Library. They’re hosting Drop In and Download today from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Bring your device and passwords to the library at 25501 Shaker Boulevard and say bye-bye to overdue fines! No registration necessary.

The  Beachwood Family Aquatic Center opens next weekend! Stop by the Community Services Department at City Hall (25325 Fairmount Blvd.) Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM to purchase your membership & beat the line!

Beachwood’s first pop-up park will open early next week. Located at the site of former Fire Station 2, on Fire Station Drive at Chagrin Blvd., this oasis will feature tables, benches, and attractive landscaping: a perfect site for picnics, reading, meeting friends or just watching the world go by! Free and open to the public through the summer. 

Thursdays: EATS AND MEETS, a food-truck gathering from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the parking lot behind The Orlean Company at 23875 Commerce Park. Presented by the Beachwood Chamber of Commerce and The Orlean Company.

Friday, May 24: Art historian Felicia Zavarella Stadelman will present about Claude Monet: the most consistent and dedicated of the Impressionist artists, who once said “Color is my day long obsession joy and torment.” Registration is preferred. Sponsored by the Friends of the Beachwood Library. 10:00 – 11:00 AM

Wednesday, May 29: Mix and Mingle for a Mission from 4:00 – 6:00 PM with the Beachwood-based chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association chapter. Visit for more information and to register.

Sunday, June 2: Support The Gathering Place by participating in Race for the Place. Visit for more information and to register for this 5k or 1 Mile walk/run.

Sunday, June 23: Join the Beachwood Historical Society & Beachwood Arts Council for the House and Garden Tour from 1:00 - 4:00 PM. Visit for more info. $15 per person and this is open to the public.

Seniors: Join Mayor Horwitz and The Upperclassmen travelers on a trip to the Columbus Statehouse on July 24. Residents and non-residents are welcome to participate. Check The Upperclassmen for more information.
