[ARCHIVED] Halloween Update

The original item was published from October 31, 2016 to December 1, 2016 12:00 AM

On behalf of the City of Beachwood, I would like to wish everyone a safe and Happy Halloween. Trick-or-Treating in Beachwood will take place tonight, Monday, October 31 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A couple items of note:

Grab a Glow Stick
For the third year in a row, Chief Winebrenner and the Beachwood Police Department will be passing out glow sticks on the sidewalk during Trick-or-Treat hours. Officers are well stocked with more than a thousand glow sticks that are not only fun to have on a dark night, but also help ensure drivers can see you and your children.

Be Safe
In the spirit of safety, it is always a good idea to refresh yourself on Halloween safety tips. There are many good resources out there, including these tips from:

Safe Kids - https://www.safekids.org/tip/halloween-safety-tips
The Centers for Disease and Control (CDC) - http://www.cdc.gov/family/halloween/

Year after year, you make this the fun and safe holiday that it should be. Thank you, and Happy Halloween.
