[ARCHIVED] Centennial Beech Tree Planting Saturday Amidst Flurry of Homecoming Activities

Throughout the year we have been celebrating the City’s Centennial with various events and activities. 100 Year

The Beachwood High School Marketing Junior Achievement students have been an instrumental part of our celebration. Through their 100 Leaves Project, they sold commemorative 6-foot fiberglass leaves that were decorated by artists and placed throughout the community. They also worked to sell more than 50 real beech trees to be planted on Beachwood Middle School and High School property. 

The official ceremony to commemorate these trees will be this Saturday, September 26 at 11:30 a.m. at Beachwood High School. The tree planting is one of a number of activities taking place on this special Homecoming Weekend:
 
Friday, September 25
6 p.m.          Pep Rally 

Saturday, September 26
10 a.m.        Girls & Boys Varsity Soccer, Donuts & Cider
11:30 a.m.   Beech Tree Planting
Noon           Tail Gate Party
1:00 p.m.     Varsity Football Game, Beachwood vs. Geneva
