Resident Shred Day & Tech Recycling is Sunday, May 16

Mark your calendars for Resident Shred Day, happening Sunday, May 16 from 9:00 AM - Noon in the Beachwood Community Center parking lot, 25325 Fairmount Blvd.

Bring your personal documents, mail, files and have them shredded for FREE. Service is available to all Beachwood residents (proof of residency required). Shred up to 6 bankers boxes OR 12 blue grocery bags at no charge. Staples, paper clips and binders accepted. Due to COVID regulations, all items must be placed in the trunk, not backseat. Boxes will not be returned. Everything that is removed from the trunk will be shredded. Participants must stay in their vehicle at all times.

We will also welcome PCs for People to Resident Shred Day. If you have no-longer-needed laptops, tablets, desktop PCs, monitors, cell phones or more, please bring them to be donated. PCs for People will do a one-pass wipe to erase data from hard drives, and in many cases will then distribute your unwanted items to people in the greater Cleveland community. Most items can be recycled at no cost, though there is a fee to recycle the following: large-format printers, copiers, smartboards, CRT (tube) computer monitors, and TVs. For more information about recycling tech products with PCs for People, please visit their FAQ or email recycle@pcsforpeople.org.
