Inspection Requirements
New residential and commercial building inspections require:
- Excavation - before pouring footings (call Building Department
office for rest of inspections)
- Foundation - after foundation erected, before backfilled
or the erection of any building
- Partial Building - before any insulation and after all
HVAC, plumbing and electrical has been roughed-in and inspected
- Rough Inspection - after insulation, before drywall
- Final Building - after finals done on heating, electric
and plumbing

It is the contractor's responsibility to make sure access
is available to the premesis. The appropriate party must
always be on site during the scheduled inspection. Our inspectors
do not make calls to arrange for access.
All structures are to be identified by house numbers clearly
visible from the street per Codified
Ordinance Chapter 1355.13 House Numbers Required (216K
