Building Permit Application Procedures for New Commercial
Construction
Submit to Building Department:
- Construction plans:
- plan review: 2 sets
- ARB: 2 sets
- fire alarm/sprinkler: 3 sets
- civil drawings: 4 sets
- P&Z: 15 sets
- 2 complete sets of building plans, including wall sections,
foundations and deck structural, if applicable.
- 1 completed building
permit application (591K PDF) (applicable fee/deposit).
- You will be notified of the amounts of building permit
fees and/or engineering fees after approval.
Requirements for Construction Starting:
- Call Building Department inspectors at (216) 292-1914
for required inspections and/or any questions.
- All contractors must
be registered (202K PDF) every fiscal
year with the City of Beachwood.
- Construction hours:
When Construction is Completed:
- Site is complete - A permanent occupancy certificate
will be issued and deposit refunded if any is left after
engineering's site inspections are completed.

Construction
Submit to Building Department:
- Construction plans:
- plan review: 2 sets
- ARB: 2 sets
- fire alarm/sprinkler: 3 sets
- civil drawings: 4 sets
- P&Z: 15 set
- 2 complete sets of building plans, including wall sections,
foundations and deck structural, if applicable.
- 2 site plans, including topography including all set
backs.
- 1 completed building
permit application (591K PDF) (applicable fee/deposit).
- Model energy code report.
- You will be notified of the amounts of building permit
fees and/or engineering fees after approval.
