The City of Beachwood Service Department is responsible for:
  • Rubbish and recycling collection
  • Snow removal
  • Street sign maintenance
  • Sidewalk replacement
  • Road and sewer construction, repair and maintenance
  • Landscaping and maintenance of Parks and City property including trees, shrubs, flowers and grass
  • Maintenance of Buildings, lighting, parking lots
  • Replacement and maintenance of tree lawn trees
  • Animal control services for City and resident's properties

Fall Leaf Pick Up

Loose leaf pick up is scheduled to begin Monday, September 26, 2016. The program will run through mid-December weather permitting.

Leaves need to be raked into piles on the tree lawn (not in streets or on sidewalks). Leaf piles need to be free of other debris such as grass, twigs or branches. Cars or other vehicles parked in the street may impede the City's ability to collect leaf piles.

Northeast Regional Sewer District is Smoke Testing Sewer Lines

Beginning Thursday, October 20th, the sewer district will be testing sanitary sewer mains for possible leaks.  The following streets will be tested:
  • Timberlane between Beachwood and Buckhurst
  • Tunbridge
  • Lyndway between Glenhill and E Baintree
  • Glenhill between Lyndway and Cedar
  • Bryden between Hermitage and Letchworth
Non toxic, artificially created smoke will be used.  Residents on streets to be tested received "door knocker" flyers on Monday, October 17th.  The flyers explain the process used and the testing date.
